Perilous Times for America

Here is what prominent American evangelicals, as well as news agencies, say about hurricane Katrina and other disasters:

A prelude to greater disasters

Jerry Golden (The Golden Report, Sept. 1, 2005) says the following: When 3,000 died in the Islamic attack on the Trade Centers in New York we thought that was the worse thing that has ever happened to the United States. And it was up until now. But what we are witnessing today is far worse – there will be thousands of dead and thousands wounded. Over a million have lost their homes, and jobs not for a week or two but for years to come. Not only in New Orleans but also in Mississippi and Alabama, even in Florida. We could blame it on nature or bad preparedness and we can blame it on George Bush and his Road Map to hell; whatever you blame it on, you should still take a close look at the lawlessness of the people in that region to get an understanding of what you can expect in your area when a disaster hits near you.

Because what I can see on the horizon is a perfect time for al-Qaida to hit a major big city with an attack if that is what they have been planning, and I think it is. The economy of the US is hurting because of the Iraqi war and now Katrina. But then they may decide to just hit the Saudi Arabian oil fields or the two major export centers there to stop oil from flowing to the US. That would bring the US to its knees.

Take a look at the lawlessness in New Orleans and Biloxi to better understand how it will be in cities across the US in such a scenario. It is believed by many military experts that al-Qaida has well placed nuclear weapons in the US already and they have been waiting on the right time to use them. This could be that right time if what they want is to see the total destruction of the US.  Most people just don’t understand what a nuclear attack in a large city would be like, tens of thousands would die instantly and many thousands more from the fall out. Like in New Orleans, the criminal element will do the rest once the country goes into bankruptcy, or when the oil stops flowing to the degree that there is no gas or jobs as industries will stop. For those who have felt that they are protected because they live in the US, they are wrong, and they best wake up and soon.

But there is something else that needs to be said about these disasters. The Devil has no goal above his desire to destroy Israel, and the destruction of the US is in line with his plan to destroy Israel. George Bush may not be a great friend to Israel but the Christians in the US are and the Devil is well aware of that and their knowledge of God’s Word in blessing Israel. Of course the Devil will use the opportunity to spread anti-Semitism throughout the United States and has already started... Most of all, in times like these, you will need to know the Lord Jesus. If you don’t, now would be a good time to get on your knees and ask Him to be your Lord.

Jerry Golden reports from Israel

Here in Israel, the Land that God refers to as His and the people as His, we remember recently some of the following:

Nearly a million Jews gathered at the Western Wall at the Temple Mount praying for a miracle that Sharon and Bush would be stopped.

Thousands marched in the hot summer sun in the Negev desert, in hopes of stopping Sharon and Bush from expelling them from their homes.

Over 500,000 Jews gathered in Tel-Aviv to protest the actions of Sharon and Bush but they turned their heads again. This was the largest demonstration in the history of Israel.

The land that Israel was fighting for belonged to the Jews, not to the Islamic enemies of God.

Members of the IDF came with tears in their eyes, not understanding why their Prime Minister and the President of the United States was demanding they go into Jewish homes and force the Jews to give their land to the Islamic enemies of God.

At the same time Hamas and Islamic Jihad was marching in the streets of Gaza demanding death to all Jews.  But Sharon and Bush didn’t seem to be listening. But we know that Bush and Sharon are aware of the soon coming war and the proof is the building of the US Base in the center of Israel, with enough boldness to fly the American flag at the front gate.

Is there anyone in this world that doesn’t know the Saudis are the number one supporters of terrorism in the world today; that the Saudis are the heart of the Wahhabi (Moslem Brotherhood); or have you noticed the way they hold hands, is that a secret handshake?

Gen. 12:3 is getting a lot attention lately, and no wonder God didn’t stutter when He said He would curse those who curse Israel.  Has anyone noticed that Hurricane Katrina seemed to have come out of nowhere, it was barely a hurricane when it hit Florida, and within days, during the days of the Disengagement here in Israel God built her into a category 5 and headed straight to the city of New Orleans in the US, known as sin city.  The timing of the hurricane and the Disengagement was no accident it was by the hand of God. God is speaking loud and clear, but the question is, will President Bush listen?

So when you look at the pictures above think of them when you see over a million homeless and the unbearable suffering of tens of thousands. Not to mention the dead and wounded. You see, God will not be mocked, not even by the President of the United States or the Prime Minister of Israel.

Many things are about to take place in this world that will shake the faith of all but the very elect of God. Those who are playing Church and are brain washed by man-made denominations will fall by the wayside. Those who are walking with God today and know Him as their God know also that this hurricane is like none other and that God is speaking loud and clear to those who have ears to hear. Now is the time to prepare for your family, and to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in ministry. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Twenty oil rigs missing in Gulf of Mexico

AFX News Limited - Aug 31, 2005 - At least 20 oil rigs and platforms are missing in the Gulf of Mexico and a ruptured gas pipeline is on fire after Hurricane Katrina hit the region, Agency France-Press reported, citing a source from a US Coast Guard unit operating in the area.

'We have confirmed at least 20 rigs or platforms missing, either sunk or adrift, and one confirmed fire where a rig was,' Petty Officer Robert Reed told AFP. The missing rigs were in the Gulf of Mexico, Reed said, citing Coast Guard overflights of the area and information from oil companies.

According to the latest tally Wednesday from the federal Minerals Management Service, a total of 561 platforms and rigs have been evacuated in the Gulf of Mexico, which accounts for a quarter of US oil production.

Over 91 percent of normal daily crude oil production in the Gulf, 1.5 million barrels, is now shut down and more than 83 percent of natural gas production.

Hurricane Katrina stops huge homosexual party

Something you are not likely to hear addressed on media, Christian or otherwise, is the cancellation of one of the South's biggest homosexual orgies that was to have taken place in the streets of New Orleans this weekend. The Southern Decadence Celebration 2005 is now officially off and the 10,000 partying homosexuals, who frequently commit their depravity openly at the Southern Decadence events, aren't going to have a venue to do so in New Orleans. As the international media reports on America's need for aid, I can't help reflect on how quickly the arrogance of man can be turned to desperate need in the midst of destruction. God's hand of judgment has been stayed so many times in this country. His grace truly has been shed on us, as the hymn says. But how much longer can the Lord hold back his anger in this land when we have the blood of 40 million children reddening our soil from abortion? The river of blood is second only to the river of filth coming from the nation's pornographers who are filling American homes with material from the pit of hell. We have our modern day Sodom where tens of thousands of homosexuals march through the streets of our cities, demanding acceptance and breathing out threatenings to those politicians who try to stop them. Now, in the midst of this culture of sin, even Christ's own church is in such open rebellion and disobedience that we have churches featuring I Love Lucy videos and sponsoring rock concerts and sports shows in the name of evangelism. God is merciful, but His cup of wrath must surely be filling as He looks at America.

As we pray for the victims who have lost everything in this horror, and so many innocent families have nothing tonight, we should also pray for the spiritual state of this nation. The awful scenes of desolation in New Orleans tonight are a far cry from the frivolity, debauchery and filthiness that were to have taken place this weekend. This is a time to mourn, not just for those who have lost their lives and everything they have, but also for the spiritual bankruptcy and the growing tide of evil that is sweeping America. These are sobering days in so many ways, because so often the innocent seem to suffer with the wicked. We need to keep in a spirit of prayer.

Casinos ravaged

According to www.foxnews.com gambling casinos took a hit on the coast as this is where the eye of the storm hit. And as America forced Israelis out of parts of their land, hurricane Katrina was building in the Atlantic. A Fox reporter said, "It must be an emotional experience (for Americans) to walk away from their homes and not ever live in them again." Same with those forced out in Israel. Israeli homes are being demolished as Gulf Coast homes are demolished.

This was America's greatest "evacuation." Now we have "refugees". Israelis were evacuated and many are refugees living in tents and refugee centers, thanks to America. The Israeli uprooting will affect their entire economy in that some of their finest produce which was exported is now left behind. America's economy could face a steep recession as oil processing refineries were damaged. Plan to see price increases within days. Will this bring our economy down? Major industries will be affected from food delivery, jet fuel, travel, insurance, and so much more with the "ripple effect" of skyrocketing gas prices.

Luke 21 talks about "the sea and the waves roaring" and "men's hearts failing them for fear." We must not stop there. It goes on to say, "When these things begin to happen, look up and know your redemption draws nigh.” As Hal Lindsey and I shared the same platform in 2004, we both said, "He is at the door." The "birth pangs" can't get much more intense.

Gaza to Katrina – two weeks of devastation

KOENIG'S INTERNATIONAL NEWS - by Bill Koenig - Aug 30, 2005 - Note from Bill: I will continue to connect the disengagement activities in Israel to the other very serious events and headlines up to the devastating Hurricane Katrina and then beyond.

God said to Abraham and his descendants: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3; KJV). The nations that curse, fight or harm Israel in any way will be judged by God: “I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead [enter into judgement] with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land” (Joel 3:2; KJV).

To say the least, much has happened since the disengagement eviction began in Israel on August 17, with preliminary work actually taking place during the 9th of Av — sundown on Saturday, August 13, to sundown on Sunday, August 14. The government of Israel didn’t want the disengagement eviction to begin until August 17 due to the curse of the 9th of Av for the Jewish people.
